Iselmar is situated at the edge of picturesque fisermens’s village Lemmer.
Its unhurried center with numerous terraces right at the waterside, cafés, and many sights such as the ancient watergate, brims over with life.

Additionally, Iselmar is uniquely located in closest proximity to the beach and directly surrounded by woods. Lemmer’s Lake IJssel beach – offering recreation to young and old – is within walking distance. The inland seas surrounding Lemmer also provide various beaches.

Gaasterland woods are in short driving distance. There are different opportunities to explore their unique nature: by walks, cycling tours, scooter tours, or by horse riding tours. Activities for young and old are regulary organized in the woods.

Apart from fishermen’s village Lemmer, the surroundings comprise genuine small towns such as Sloten (the smallest amongst the eleven towns), Stavoren (with Vrouwtje of Stavoren), and Hindeloopen (painting an ancient harbor), which are also a sight to see.
